It promises to be another busy day in the Derek Chauvin trial.

The Judge says he’ll announce his decision soon on whether evidence from George Floyd’s arrest in 2019 will be allowed in this trial. And on Friday he’s set to announce a decision on whether he’ll grant the defense request for a delay and to move the trial. In the meantime, the judge is adding juror strikes for attorneys on both sides.

So far the defense has used 12 of 18 strikes to dismiss jurors and the state has used five of 10 strikes. On Wednesday two already-seated jurors were excused by the judge because of their views on the city’s $27 million dollar settlement with the George Floyd family. So far nine jurors–five men and four women–have been seated.
