The U-S Senate passed a $1.9 trillion COVID stimulus relief bill and now it’s on its way to the House. The final vote was 50-49 along party lines. U-S Senator Tina Smith says it’s one of the most significant pieces of legislation to pass through the Senate in years…

“It is going to provide much-needed economic relief and help to working families in Minnesota and around the country.”

House and Senate negotiators will have to work out differences in the two bills before a final measure is approved and sent to the President. Republicans say the bill is too costly and is filled with things unrelated to the ongoing COVID crisis.
