Officials say 62 people were injected with improperly mixed COVID vaccines at a Mankato Hy-Vee. The Pfizer batch was incorrectly combined with sterile water by pharmacy staff rather than the special saline solution already provided. That is something the CDC explicitly says not to do. However, Hy-Vee says there is no reason for medical concern and staff has been retrained. The company claims they are reaching out to affected patients on the next steps, but some of those people have disputed that.
