As expected, those next in line for the COVID-19 vaccine will be people with specific high-risk conditions and essential workers in food processing and plants. Governor Tim Walz announced that while describing the vaccine’s future rollout at yesterday’s press conference. Minnesota will expand vaccine eligibility when 70-percent of those 65 and older have gotten at least one dose, which officials say should be done by the end of March. Following that, more essential workers and those in high-risk groups will be able to get vaccinated. Walz says it all ends with access for the general public in the summer. More detailed information on the timeline can be found on the state’s website.
