Encouraging news continues on the COVID front, with case-positive rates, deaths, and hospitalizations remaining relatively low. Governor Tim Walz says after spikes in the summer and fall, computer models at this point do not predict another one on the horizon:

“Now I want to caution folks: (COVID) variants and changes in behavior can have an impact on that, but at this point in time, we’re doing it.”

Walz says it’s critical that Minnesotans continue masking, social-distancing, staying home when sick, and getting tested for COVID when appropriate.
