The Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Minnesota says a new report shows a larger portion of Black, Hispanic, Asian, and other racial minorities are more likely to lose money when targeted by scammers. The BBB’s Bao Vang says in addition…

“Women are twice as likely to report and fall victim to these scams than men, but men reported losing double the amount when they fall victim.”

This and other findings come from researchers at the University of Minnesota and the University of Southern California who used data collected through the BBB Scam Tracker–analyzing more than 167,000 scams–between January 2017 and September 2020.
