Mankato Area Public Schools announced plans to return secondary students to in-person learning.

For Mankato Area Public Schools, middle and high schools will shift from hybrid to in-person learning on Thursday, February 25th. All students in grades 6-12 will return to in-person learning 4 days a week with Wednesdays remaining a distance learning day. School leaders will communicate school-specific information to staff, students and families soon.

The answer to the question, “Why now?” is our confidence in meeting the key mitigation expectations that have been outlined by the Centers for Disease Control, the Minnesota Department of Health, and the Minnesota Department of Education, according to a statement from the school district.
