The Minnesota Department of Health is optimistic about where the state is heading in regards to COVID-19. Health officials say the light at the end of the tunnel is growing brighter every day thanks not only to the rising number of vaccinations, but also the hard work of many people across the state. They pointed to numbers such as the state’s declining seven-day positivity rate, which is just below four-percent and the caution category, as reasons for optimism. COVID hospitalizations are also on the decline and more than 777-thousand Minnesotans have received at least one dose of the vaccine, but officials say the state needs more doses.
