Minnesota workplace safety inspectors say they are overwhelmed with employee complaints concerning COVID-19. The state Occupational Safety and Health Administration saw a 63 percent increase in complaints from March 1 through the end of 2020. Those complaints led to 144 citations against Minnesota employers for COVID-related issues, for everything from lacking a pandemic plan to not training workers on the proper use of cleaning chemicals.
