A group of Republicans said Democratic leaders made false accusations about their attending a State Capitol rally the same day as the Washington D-C riots — that as the Minnesota House this evening (Mon) passed a resolution condemning violence at the U-S Capitol and at state capitols. D-F-L Majority Leader Ryan Winkler responded:

“Fortunately the determination was made that no members of this body had engaged in incitement of violence on the steps of the State Capitol that day, but it doesn’t mean that asking the question was the wrong thing to do, considering what had happened in Washington D-C that same day.”

Republican Representative Steve Drazkowski took Democratic leaders to task:

“When you go out and make allegations of people with absolutely no evidence… that the six members who spoke at the rally did anything wrong.”
