The announcement from Governor Walz on loosening restrictions is good news for bars and restaurants, but Tony Chesak with the Minnesota Licensed Beverage Association says establishments still won’t be able to get all their staff back, and limited hours of operation won’t help some:

“It’s one of those things that our license holders will have to continue to be creative in their business models going forward, to keep their nose at least at the water line.”

But Chesak says if the state is forced to again turn the dial back:

“We told the governor that a third time would be the eminent (sic) kiss of death for the industry.”
