Governor Tim Walz today (2pm) is expected to announce the loosening of restrictions on indoor dining. Current restrictions do not allow indoor dining. Restaurants are allowed to provide carry-out, delivery, and outdoor dining. Liz Rammer with Hospitality Minnesota says…

“We’re really hopeful that this won’t be too little too late and folks have been able to stay afloat. we’ve also been very focused on securing financial relief from the state and federal government, we’re just hopeful that it can get to these folks in time as a lifeline.”

Rammer is hoping the governor allows bars and restaurants to open for indoor dining at least at 50-percent capacity. The governor’s announcement today comes as the state’s coronavirus numbers have improved in recent weeks.
