As another winter storm swept across the state, State Patrol Sergeant Jesse Grabow has these reminders.
“Good common sense, I mean listen to the information that is being put out there for the local weather forecast, road conditions through MNDOT, but just don’t outsmart your common sense when it comes down to it.”
Road conditions are available at 5-1-1-M-N.org.
Grabow says your actions behind the wheel can also minimize your risk of being caught in a tough spot due to the weather.
“Keep the headlights on, increase your following distance in case a hazard then presents itself in front of you. Whether it is someone spins out or it is limited visibility…and of course always wear those seatbelts.”
