As Minnesotans plan for the holidays amid the pandemic, the state Health Department’s Kris Ehresmann says:

“There are really two messages: hope that the vaccine is here in Minnesota and that people are beginning to be vaccinated, and patience, because it will take a while for all of us to get to the point where it’s our turn to be vaccinated.”

Minnesota began giving the Pfizer vaccine shots to healthcare workers last week, with about 3,000 doses administered as of Monday. Governor Walz says between expected Pfizer and upcoming Moderna vaccine shipments, the state will have received around 250,000 doses by the end of this month.
