Patrick Hentges, who served as city manager for the city of Mankato since 1996, has retired. The City says during his tenure in Mankato, he led the way to create a vibrant, diverse, regional community. His vision, unwavering support, guidance, and commitment to providing service the Mankato way has enhanced the region. His financial stewardship has resulted in the city being recognized with unprecedented upgrades to its bond rating. Under his economic development leadership, greater Mankato’s economy has grown to be one of the most prosperous in Minnesota.
Susan Arntz, the previous Waconia city administrator, was selected by the City Council to replace Hentges. Arntz has more than 19 years of city management experience and began her position on Monday, November 30.
