As Minnesota’s 87 counties continue canvassing election results, Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon says:

“It looks like barring some totally wild occurrence in some other state, we will once again, for the third time in a row be number one in the country in voter turnout.”

Simon says as of now the state is at 79.96-percent of turnout for eligible voters–which is not only the highest in the country, it’s Minnesota’s highest number since 1956.
