DFL Senator Nick Frentz of North Mankato says he supports Governor Walz’s latest COVID emergency restrictions:

“I’m not glad about it but we have a big increase in cases. Even when you factor in cases we’ve gone from having at the beginning of September to having less than a thousand of new cases a day to now…case numbers three, four, five thousand cases a day.”

Frentz says what we are seeing is what doctors were predicting:
“We’re having a late fall surge as people move indoors and the restrictions are the Governor’s and the Department of Health’s attempt as lots of states around the Midwest are doing now to try and figure out how to strategically be smart.”

Frentz says he is glad the restrictions aren’t more severe.
