A large scale search is underway in Becker County for a missing hunter. Sheriff Todd Glander says the man was to meet up with his hunting party for lunch at 11:30 Sunday morning bud didn’t show up. That group notified authorities around 3:30 yesterday afternoon that the 57-year-old from the Twin Cities could not be found. A group search continued until midnight and resumed this morning:
“It’s not really inducive for aerial right now we did have a state patrol helicopter out last night but had to leave because of weather rolling in. It was over 60 degrees when I got here last night and when I stepped out of the truck this morning it was 31.”
Trackers from the White Earth Tribal Police Department, several fire departments, and volunteers from the area are out in the search along the Becker/Clearwater County line northwest of Bad Medicine Lake.
