Practicing mindful thankfulness is one way to boost spirits, feel happier and enhance overall health. Join Mayo Clinic Health System for “Discover Gratitude,” a free virtual program beginning Sunday, Nov. 22.
Participants will journal daily about the big and small things in life that they are thankful for, track their efforts to do something kind for others, and challenge themselves to dedicate time to be present in the moment.
Thanksgiving is traditionally a time to reflect on the people and blessings in your life. However, 2020 brought new challenges to many people, which can make it difficult for some to feel grateful. That’s why it’s important to find things to be thankful for.
This community-wide program is appropriate for adults and youth. Feel free to share this program with friends and family as well as teachers and other youth leaders.
Registration is not required. The challenge begins Sunday, Nov. 22, so go online to mayoclinichealthsystem.org/gratitude to print a journal and get resources about gratitude and resilience. Journals are private and will not be collected.
