A MESSAGE FROM Mankato Area Public Schools: As COVID-19 case numbers increase throughout southern Minnesota, as well as the rest of the state, we continue to work closely with our partners to determine which learning model Mankato Area Public Schools (MAPS) will be in. If infection rates continue to rise, it is likely that we will be shifting the learning model for the health and safety of our students, families, and staff.
While we are not announcing a learning model change today, we are planning for what the change may look like in the near future. We know families may face difficulties when students can’t be in schools, so it’s important to begin planning now to be prepared for when learning at MAPS is adjusted. Please keep in mind that while this shift can happen fairly quickly, we are committed to informing our students, staff and families as soon as possible so plans can be made. As always, student and staff health and safety is our top priority.
