All 201 seats in the Minnesota Legislature are up for election today (Tues) and a key question is, will Republicans take control of the Minnesota House? Carleton College analyst Steven Schier points to coat-tails from the presidential race ever since the year 2000:
“If the Republican presidential candidate comes within three-and-a-half percent of the Democratic presidential candidate in Minnesota, Republicans have always won the (Minnesota) House of Representatives.”
Schier says the question is, can Trump come that close to Biden and carry Republicans into the House majority.
And will Republicans retain control of the Minnesota Senate?
“We’re talking about a three-seat majority…. Could go either way, depending upon a few dozen votes in a few Senate districts.”
