State health officials say they’re pilot-testing the reliability of a COVID “quick test” for 18- to 35-year-olds that could return results in as little as 15 minutes — but they’re not committing on how soon it might be available. Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm:

“There are a lot of people circulating in the community who’ve been exposed, don’t know it, don’t know they’re positive and are spreading the virus to others unknowingly.”

Governor Tim Walz in Moorhead yesterday (Wed) was reportedly talking about the quick test being available in a couple of weeks. Malcolm wouldn’t promise that, but said they understand the urgency and are “working hard and working fast.”
