Businesses from around the state were the focal point of a virtual celebration, highlighting disability employment efforts. Blake Chaffee Minnesota Deputy Commissioner for Workforce Services says the event today does not mean the work of disability inclusion is complete.
“I’m excited to see our shared work continue, and most importantly to say thank you and to highlight the employers today.”
Chaffee says the overriding message for employers is to not place limits on what a given employee can achieve based on assumptions about their disability. October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
