COVID-19 hospitalizations in Minnesota are back at peak levels. Governor Tim Walz says Doctor Deborah Birx, White House top adviser on coronavirus warned there is no geography safe from COVID-19 and is asking Minnesotans to be more vigilant on preventive measures:

“The infection rates in the Upper Midwest and, as she stated specifically, on our eastern and western borders are the highest infection rates on the planet.”

Latest figures show 614 hospital beds in Minnesota being used for coronavirus patients — including 149 in I-C-U. About two-thirds of the state’s immediately available I-C-U capacity is being used for patients with COVID as well as other medical problems.
