The Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota received a $5,000 grant from the Consolidated Communications Community Fund of the Mankato Area Foundation to create awareness and skill-building opportunities across a range of STEAM content areas for young learners.

This grant allowed the Museum to create CMSM at Home: a series of STEAM activities, developed by Museum educators for families, to experience together while the Museum was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the summer, daily posts to CMSM social media sites featured these activities. CMSM at Home can be found on the Museum web site: http://www.cmsouthernmn.org/category/cmsm-at-home/

“We are proud to partner with and support the Children’s Museum’s at Home Program,” said Jennifer Spaude, Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations. “Consolidated’s Community Fund supports innovative education infinitives like this program that provides southern Minnesota families with fun, hands-on learning experiences.”
