Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon says his office is well-prepared heading into November’s election, though there are challenges…

“All elections are intense, they’re supposed to be intense they’re a clash of ideas and visions and records and opinions and that’s ok, presidential elections are even more so for all the obvious reasons, the stakes are much, much higher but layered on top of all that this year is the fact that we are doing all of this during a one-in-a-century pandemic.”

Simon continues to encourage Minnesotans to vote absentee amid COVID. He says record numbers of absentee ballots are being requested–more than 1.3 million vote-from-home ballots have been requested so far.
