As the number of cases of COVID-19 continues to climb across the state Governor Walz reminds Minnesotans to remain vigilant. He says the upper Midwest is a hot spot:

“The state of Minnesota is surrounded by the second, third and fourth highest transmission rate in the country and once that starts to happen more of the bad outcome, more of the hospitalizations start to go up just by sheer numbers.”

On Tuesday state health officials confirmed 1,150 new COVID-19 cases across Minnesota. The seven day average of active confirmed cases in the state remains at a record high.
