On Tuesday, October 6th, 2020, at approximately 5:37 p.m. Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a personal injury accident involving two vehicles near the intersection of 320th Street and 181st Avenue in Lanesburgh Township.


The investigation into the accident indicated a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Chad Parker age 34 of Heidelberg, MN was Westbound on 320th Street.  The Malibu had slowed and began to initiate a left hand turn into the parking lot of a business at which time it was struck by an Eastbound 2013 Ford Econoline Van driven by Christopher Heyda age 51 of New Prague, MN.  Both vehicles ultimately came to rest in the South ditch of 320th Street with the Malibu overturned.


Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries, the driver of the Econline Van was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems New Prague by the Montgomery Ambulance Service. The driver of the Malibu was transported by North Air Care to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN.  Both drivers indicated they were wearing seatbelts, impairment was not a factor in the crash.
