The Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota is warning consumers that the upcoming election is likely to generate loads of scammers pretending to be pollsters, campaign volunteers, fundraisers and even candidates.

“If you have been a victim, it is so unfortunate, please let us know if you suspect this is happening in your community, head to our website, it’s bbb.org/scamtracker, or you can give us a call at 651-699-1111.”

The BBB’s Bao Vang says common political fraud involves polling calls with fake prize offers, fraudulent fundraising calls and people impersonating candidates asking for contributions.
