President Trump today said he has narrowed his list of potential Supreme Court nominees to fill the seat held by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to five people and vowed to announce his pick by Friday or Saturday. Hamline University Political Analyst David Schultz:

“Republicans and conservatives have been wanting to flip the Supreme Court for nearly 50 years and they have an opportunity now to really cement a conservative judiciary being able to fill this now.”

Schultz doesn’t think there is enough time to fill the vacant seat before the November 3rd election, citing all the processes and procedures that need to be conducted ahead of time.
