Twin Cities community groups and small business owners are calling on state lawmakers to do more in the recovery efforts for areas impacted by recent unrest–and COVID-19–in the cities. Felicia Perry with the West Broadway Coalition says businesses are hurting…

“And they want to tools and resources to build wealth. They want people to know that we’re still very much impacted by COVID-19, businesses are still trying to figure out how to pivot, they’re still trying to figure out how to cover lost financial, lost revenue.”

At a virtual roundtable discussion on Wednesday, state Department of Employment and Economic Development Commissioner Steve Grove said that he is listening and acknowledged that these are “unprecedented economic times.”
