C-D-C Director Robert Redfield told a Senate panel Wednesday that they are working with a select group of states to figure out how to distribute a COVID-19 vaccine when it’s ready. Minnesota is one of the five states.

“This plan will be going out to all of the states.   I’ll be talking to the state public health leaders this week. We will be working with them so they can integrate this plan in their own unique way for their own state and there will be support to help them to resource this plan.”

In addition to Minnesota, Redfield says they’ve also been micro-planning with North Dakota, California, Florida, and Pennsylvania health officials. He says they will need more funding in order to deliver the vaccine to the selected states.
