Two Minnesota state lawmakers have signed a letter written to Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren asking the league to reconsider its decision to cancel fall sports. Senate Majority leader Paul Gazelka and House minority leader Kurt Daudt were two of ten state lawmakers from Big Ten states who signed the letter. The letter states recent actions taken by other conferences to start fall sports have placed the Big Ten, its members, and students at a disadvantage. The letter went on to say its frustrating that many Big Ten institutions are leading the way by providing health and safety protocols saying their work has been an unmitigated success. The Big Ten cancelled its fall season in early August.
