Heading into fall, Governor Tim Walz and Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm are urging Minnesotans to double down in their efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19. Malcolm says:
“We’re in a more precarious position today than we were heading into the last major holiday weekend, and we just want Minnesotans to be aware there is risk in this situation…the virus is all over the state outbreaks are happening all over the state and we just want people to be vigilant.”
Currently, at over 30-percent, Minnesota’s rate of community transmission is at a high and sustained level. Commissioner Malcolm is urging extra caution around private gatherings like parties, weddings, and funerals.
