As Minnesota students prep to go “back to school”–many will be distance learning. The Minnesota Better Business Bureau (BBB) has a few online safety tips for parents and students to keep in mind.

“You just never know who you’re talking or communicating with. As parents, know what your child is doing online and keep track of social media sites and accounts to which they have access.”

The BBB’s Bao Vang says kids should be reminded not to click on spam and junk mail. And kids should never share their location online. Vang recommends parents use parental controls if necessary, especially for young children.
