“I profoundly accept this nomination for president of the United States.”
…President Trump last night (Thurs), wrapping up the Republican National Convention:
“I say very modestly that I have done more for the African American community than any president since Abraham Lincoln, our first Republican president.”
Democratic state Senator Nick Frentz from North Mankato responds:
“Sounds pretty clear to me he hasn’t talked to the black community. They don’t seem that thrilled with him and I think the poll numbers reflect that they feel just the opposite and so do I.”
Frentz says racial equity is at a flash-point, and that’s laid at the lap of the president.
