“I profoundly accept this nomination for president of the United States.”

…President Trump last night (Thurs), wrapping up the Republican National Convention:

“I say very modestly that I have done more for the African American community than any president since Abraham Lincoln, our first Republican president.”

Democratic state Senator Nick Frentz from North Mankato responds:

“Sounds pretty clear to me he hasn’t talked to the black community. They don’t seem that thrilled with him and I think the poll numbers reflect that they feel just the opposite and so do I.”

Frentz says racial equity is at a flash-point, and that’s laid at the lap of the president.
