State health officials say there are now 35 positive COVID cases among Minnesotans who went to the large motorcycle rally in Sturgis, South Dakota — and are urging those who attended to self-quarantine for 14 days from when they returned. State Health Department’s Kris Ehresmann predicts more cases from secondary transmission:

“Meaning, I travel to Sturgis, I developed COVID and now I have exposed and infected someone else.”

Ehresmann says of those who contracted COVID at Sturgis, one person was a band member and another a volunteer worker at a bar. One person was hospitalized but has now been released.
