Mankato Spring Clean-up 2020 wraps up this week with two drop-off dates: 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, August 27 and Friday, August 28 at the Public Works Center, 501 S. Victory Drive. During Spring Clean-up, Mankato residents who pay for curbside garbage and recycling service may dispose of unwanted items at no additional cost. The event is a value-added benefit of Mankato’s curbside garbage and recycle service. Electronics (such as televisions and computers) will be accepted. Residents will need to bring the color-coded postcard (any color) received in the mail when dropping off items to verify participation. If the postcard is forgotten, proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill, will be required.
