Minnesota saw its highest single-day COVID-19 death total in two months on Wednesday. The state also saw an increase of 35 hospitalizations. But MDH Commissioner Jan Malcom says there’s some good news when it comes to the seven-day case positive percentage and the testing average.

“The seven-day is six-point-percentage positive cases as compared to an eight-point-three percent increase in testing volume,” said Malcom. “That’s a favorable sign when test growth out numbers percentage positive.”

The 17 deaths reported Wednesday were the most since June 19th.
