It appears the latest wave of COVID-19 cases in the state is stabilizing. State Health Commissioner, Jan Malcolm says we’re seeing a familiar looking pattern and the current wave of COVID-19 has maybe reached its crest.
“We sort of describe it and feel like it’s a fairly stable situation all be it at a higher level of cases than we saw last spring because of the much-increased testing we’re doing now compared to then and the nature of the type of spread that we’re seeing is much more predominately community spread.”
Today the health department is reporting 359 new cases, nine additional deaths. There are currently 304 hospitalized and 154 are in intensive care.
