“As a pediatrician I kind of cringe when I think about the amount of time this spring that my kids spent on their computers, but at the same time, they were learning and they were connecting with their friends, all of which are important for their mental well-being and their academic well-being.”

Dr. Singh says “everyone wants what’s best for kids” but the evolving nature of COVID-19 makes it difficult to predict where will we’ll be in the weeks ahead. She’s encouraging parents to be prepared to “expect the unexpected.”
