State Senator Nick Frentz of North Mankato says lawmakers failed by not passing a bonding bill during the last legislative session.

“It was the biggest failure of the session,” said Frentz. “People need to hold all of us accountable. We needed to get one and we failed to get it done.”

Frentz says the senate agreed to a one-point-five billion-dollar bill but it stalled in the house.

“Those angriest about the failure to pass the bonding bill are workers who are concerned about the chain of work,” said Frentz.

Frentz says he didn’t agree that house republicans holding up the bill by connecting it to the Governor’s emergency powers. Frentz says there are two separate issues and needed to be discussed individually
