The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division (DPS-AGED) is calling on bars and restaurants and their patrons to follow Governor Tim Walz’s executive order to wear masks, limit crowd sizes and maintain social distancing.

“What we would really like to do is implore the consumers and bar patrons, to help this industry continue to move ahead. we ask that you don’t show up in large groups, we ask that you don’t cluster those tables together, or move the chairs”

DPS-AGED Director Carla Cincotta. Law enforcement spent two weeks–from July 4-13th surveilling 919 Minnesota bars and restaurants looking for violations.


During the two-week sweep (July 4-13), AGED sent 10 warning letters to bars and restaurants that violated all three areas of emphasis. Investigators sent an additional four letters on June 26 to establishments violating the order. The bars and restaurants include:

· Long Siding Bar & Grill, Princeton
· Danno’s, Anoka
· CoV, Wayzata
· Hoban Korean BBQ, Minneapolis
· Pablo’s Mexican Restaurant, Shakopee
· Arnie’s Friendly Folks Club, Shakopee
· Princeton Speedway, Princeton
· Rollie’s, Sauk Rapids
· Breakfast Bar, Minneapolis
· The Stadium, Annandale
· Cowboy Jacks, Minneapolis
