An informal survey of Minnesota families collected by the state Department of Education finds that most parents–around 64-percent–want to send their kids back to school this fall. COVID-19 has prompted many challenges and Education Minnesota President Denise Specht says there’s a lot to consider…

“Everything from what kind of cleaning will happen, how are we going to be checking staff and students as they come in the building.”

Specht says evaluating the effectiveness of distance learning and making adjustments could be essential moving forward. And she says keeping staff and students safe is a top priority in the new school year.
