YWCA announced a $10,000 grant received from the Union Pacific Foundation as part of its COVID-19 Relief Grant program. The grant will be used to support and enhance our work related to our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.
“Funds will be used to help us re-start our Girls, Inc. program, making sure we provide a safe and nurturing environment for in-person programs to take place,” said YWCA Executive Director, Natasha Lopez-Rodriguez. “Through Girls Inc., we focus on the development of the whole girl. She learns to value herself, take risks, and discover and develop her inherent strengths. We realize this mission often becomes more difficult in a post-COVID world, but we are committed to connecting with the youth in our community in a meaningful way.”
