State Senator Nick Frentz of North Mankato says he believes the legislators should be called back to St. Paul to finish the legislative session.
“The emergency powers end so for no other reason I could see us going back up.”
He says even though it costs the state to send them back….
“I’m not taking any per diem, I don’t think we should if we didn’t get our job done.”
He says we also have the bonding bill.
“What the people want is for us to get back up there and do our job.”
Frentz says he believes the governor should get another 30 days for emergency powers, however…
“Could we find another way, of course we could.”
He says he can’t see anyone voting to end the emergency since he says we are still in the middle of it.
