The Minnesota Department of Health is reminding persons holding Independence Day get-togethers this weekend that COVID-19 is still a threat.
“July fourth is often a time to gather with friends and family,” said MDH Commissioner Jan Malcom. “We know how tempting it is to feel like we can go back to normal especially when we’re celebrating. But we need to be reminded we’re in a new normal and need to remain to continue to stay vigilant to protect ourselves, our loved ones, and our entire community.”
Malcom is encouraging residents to gather in small groups, practice social distancing, wear a mask when in close proximity to others, and at all times indoors when around those, not in your household.
