State Representative Jeremy Munson of Lake Crystal says he and many of his Republican colleagues feel the time is right to discuss police reform. But Munson says House DFL leadership tacking many non-police reform measures onto a police reform bill last week weren’t going to cut it.

“They took all of the police reform measures and tacked on felon voting, clean up costs from the riots, a seven-county metro sales tax, a bunch of eminent domain stuff which made the bill unacceptable to Republicans,” said Munson.

Munson says the leadership of all four caucuses in the legislature needs to do a better job of getting on the same page prior to lawmakers being called back for the next special session of the legislature to be successful.
