The Minnesota Department of Health says the mass gatherings after the death of George Floyd has not produced a significant increase in COVID-19 cases.

“In Minneapolis and St.Paul over 15-thousand people were tested after the mass gatherings after George Floyd’s murder,” said MDH Commissioner Jan Malcom. “We are pleased to announce the positive testing rate has been under two percent.”

Malcom says a significant amount of testing was done in Mower County over the weekend after an outbreak, but no test results have been made available on that testing yet.
