While many openings are happening around the state, distance funerals continue
Jason Swanson of the Minnesota River Agency on Aging says it’s been a challenge for many.
“I had a friend pass away and not being able to go to the funeral, being around people, I know that’s a struggle for a lot of people.”
He says funeral can often provide that much needed closure.
“When we lose a loved one, being with family, friends can help us, and that’s been a struggle for a lot of people.”
Swanson suggests reaching out to loved ones, especially the elderly who may be even more isolated during this pandemic.
